50. Kevin Campbell 139 appearances, 51 goals ‘KC’ was rescued from Turkish side Trabzonspor by Walter Smith, after the President called him a “discoloured cannibal”. The Trabzon President also famously said of him “We bought him as a scoring machine, but he turned out to be a washing machine”. Campbell was however a steadying presence for us, scoring  51 times in 139 starts and grabbed Everton by the collar just as we were about to leap off the precipice.
